This is fascinating. Thank you. The journey from idea to publication is dimly understood and you are shining a light on it. Good luck the rest of the way.
I’m more interested in nonfiction but there is a podcast called The Publishing Rodeo about debut authors. It’s about fiction writers mostly in the fantasy and speculative fiction markets and they interview a ton of authors and even an agent. I will check your series out. Thanks!
It's in many ways different for nonfiction, which is why I wanted to write this newsletter. Most of the resources I could find when I was starting out were for fiction.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It is interesting how it works. I never was thinking about the process of writing a book. I just love to read books. Now, I am starting to think about my favorite authors and how they are going through the writing and publishing process. Thank you!

I'm so glad it was helpful, and thank you for the kind words!! I have an entire series on how this all came about, precisely to shine a light, here -- https://hannakozlowska.substack.com/s/on-selling-the-book/archive?sort=new
